My approach to wedding days is tailored to each couple, capturing the unique chemistry of your partnership. I am a firm believer that if you feel comfortable with your photographer, your photos will look more like you! Feeling relaxed and at ease is important for bringing out your most authentic self, so I invest a lot of time getting to know you before your big day.

From client consultations to engagement sessions, my hope is to gain a better sense of what makes your connection special so I can help bring that life in your wedding photos. Your photographs should age beautifully with you, so I edit all my work in a “true to color” style that remains timeless.

Adding a roll of film to your digital coverage is an exciting way to see your wedding day unfold with a different aesthetic. Each roll contains about 35 photos, so the film is used really intentionally to focus on capturing highlights throughout your day.

This slower, more intimate analog photography process, produces portraits with a smoother finish than the grainy aesthetic of 35mm film, yielding stunning portraits that add a little magic to your day.

These aren’t the candid, fast paced photos that you’ll see throughout much of the day. This is more than a photo, it’s a memory. It’s a moment to be alone with your person, and have some quiet time together, which can be rare on an action packed wedding day.

A: I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota near the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry at the Walker Sculpture Garden! However, I was born and raised in Madison, WI so I love when a wedding brings me back to Wisconsin! But most importantly, I love to travel and my passport is always ready to rock – so if you’re not in the Midwest don’t worry! I’ve photographed weddings all over the country and would love to meet you wherever your day takes you.

A: Absolutely! I've photographed weddings all over the country and internationally as well, so I am always game for an adventure. Travel within an hour of the Minneapolis is included in every package, and any driving beyond that is $75/hr. For weddings in Madison, WI I offer a discounted travel rate because I go back often to visit family! For destination weddings, please inquire for a custom quote.

A: Every wedding day is different! If you've booked a full day package, I’ll arrive and start photographing when you’re getting dressed, and head out shortly after the dancing starts. If you've booked an elopement or custom package, the timeline will be tailored to your day.

A: Please submit an inquiry through the site! From there I will follow up with you to discuss availability and answer any questions you might have. If you decide to book with me, a signed contract and 50% deposit is required to reserve the date.

A: For weddings, a complimentary 15 image preview will be sent to you within 1 week of your wedding! Your full suite of digital images will be delivered within 6-8 weeks on an online gallery, where you can easily download your photos, order prints, and share with friends and family. 35mm film and large format film portraits are usually 8-10 weeks depending on lab turnaround times.

A: Join the group, I’m right there with you! I don’t think I’ve ever met a person who told me they loved being in front of the camera unless they’re a full time model. And look how happy and comfortable people look in my photos! You’re in good hands – a big part of my approach is to give you direction on posing and keep things light so you can feel relaxed during our time together.

A: Yes, always. I bring a backup camera, and my main camera duplicates all of your photos to a second memory card during the day to create a backup. After the wedding, your photos are backed up at my studio. I’ve never had an issue *knock on wood* but if life gets spicy on your day, I am prepared to handle it and deliver your photos as promised.

A: Yes! 35mm, large format film, and polaroids can all be added to any digital session. Submit an inquiry and I’ll send you a full pricing guide detailing all the good stuff!

A: I do not, but I work closely with a couple other wonderful videographers who you can find in my recommended vendors list. Submit an inquiry and I’ll send you the list!
